A woman is in critical condition after being attacked by three wolves in the Wow Safari Thoiry zoo, Yvelines, France. The incident occurred around 9 am when she ventured into a pedestrian-restricted area while jogging. The wolves bit her on the neck, calf and back, said Maryvonne Caillibotte, Versailles' chief prosecutor. The 37-year-old, staying overnight with her family, mistakenly entered the safari zone meant only for cars. Park CEO Christelle Bercheny reported that the first responders quickly intervened, moving the wolves away and rescuing the woman. Initially battling for her life, she was later reported to be stable and recovering in an ICU. Police are investigating whether poor signposting or a guest mistake led to the incident. The zoo's internal investigation follows assurances from Bercheny that park signs highlight "rules of survival." The zoo, founded in 1968 and sold in 2018, offers lodges in the wolf zone, promoting an intimate experience with Arctic wolves.
